About Erin Bachrach
I am often described as an eclectic artist, and have a long history in beadwork.  I started beading as a young girl in Colorado; initially inspired by Naive American beadwork and Southwestern art.

After college and a move to southern Californina, I taught beadwork techniques and had the opportunity to meet several influential beadwork artists including Cynthia Rutledge, Marcie Stone and NanC Meinhardt.

Inspired by the ocean and flora of the coast, along with the amazing beadwork community in the area, my artwork evolved to include found-objects and mixed-media.

I now live in the Pacific Northwest, and love to use unusual objects and images in my beadwork and art.  Taking something that someone else has cast-off, and then turning it into something beautiful, is a joy.  Each little piece has its own story and becomes someone's personal treasure.

As my children have grown I have found enjoyment in creating working objects used in their everyday lives as well.  Whether creating coffee sleeves with cartoon heros and local sports teams, vinyl lined fabric water resistant bags with the perfect designs for school snacks, or simply creating the neatest shoelaces in the school for a child that wants to be a little different, I have found opportunities to bring art and play into everyday life.
